Tomb Raider Debuts on Nakara: Bladepoint
During this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event, NetEase Inc. announced that Naraka: Bladepoint, their fast-paced action Battle Royale game, will begin a long-awaited collaborative event with Tomb Raider starting August 28th.
The event will provide several rewards, introduce new items to the store, and bring Matari’s legendary outfit inspired by Lara Croft. Watch the trailer below to see Matari wearing Lara’s iconic outfit.
In addition to Lara Croft’s iconic outfit, players will also have the opportunity to earn Lara’s Climbing Axe weapon skin reward and purchase Lara’s Compound Bow, both of which reflect Lara’s expertise in archery and Matari’s adventurous spirit.
Lara Croft Tomb Raider Comes to Bladepoint
As part of the Tomb Raider experience, there will also be a Tomb Raider-themed background, Base customizations for in-game use, and Tomb Raider English Voice Pack for players who want an immersive Tomb Raider experience.
Both Matari and Lara are passionate about exploration and survival, and this new collaboration event brings Eastern and Western cultures together.
With the Tomb Raider collaboration, NetEase will bring diverse and beloved characters to the rich world of Naraka: Bladepoint, following the recent collaboration that brought Kylin Zhang.
In other news, Netflix has released the new episodes for Tomb Raider. In “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft,” the story picks up after the events of the “Tomb Raider” video game trilogy (“Tomb Raider”, “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” and “Shadow of the Tomb Raider”), and explores the globetrotting heroine’s next chapter.
Per the show’s official description: “Following the events of the ‘Survivor ‘series, Lara Croft has abandoned her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures. But she must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection.
“Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become.”
