PUBG: Battlegrounds Esports World Cup 2024 has officially completed with Soniqs winning the title. The American esports team only had a four-point lead over Petrichor Road, the Chinese team.
The 2024 Esports World Cup has come to an end, and the PUBG: Battlegrounds tournament portion was no exception. With some of the most talented teams in PUBG history competing, fans were able to enjoy one of the biggest Battle Royale tournaments in history.
Soniqs seemed ready to cement their place in PUBG history after placing 20th in their first game. From rounds 2 to 6, the popular esports team ranked within the top 10 in all of their games. In fact, they even won their last game.

In the end, Soniqs won $700,000 in prize money, finished with 113 points, played over 12 games, and walked away with 113 points.
The PUBG: Battlegrounds Esports World Cup 2024 saw some huge teams compete, including Soniqs. However, Petrichor Road and FaZe Clan stayed at the top of the leaderboard.
Petrichor Road slipped behind first place by four points, and FaZe Clan slipped behind second place by five points. TSM just missed out on fourth place, scoring six points lower than FaZe. KWANGDONG FREECS came in fifth with 12 points.
There were drastic changes in points margins as the teams progressed down the leaderboards, but the top teams were still able to challenge each other so fiercely in the Grand Finals.

The EWC is the world’s largest esports event, organised by the Esports World Cup Federation, and took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, over eight weeks from July 3 to August 25. PUBG was the final game of the EWC, closing the event with a grand finale. The tournament featured a total prize pool of $2 million, with 24 elite PUBG teams participating, including the top 8 teams from the Global Power Rankings and 16 teams that qualified through regional EWC preliminaries.
