Smite 2 – The Early Access Trailer and More
Early Access for Smite 2 rolled out on July 27, 2024, a very big deal since its predecessor remains one of the most popular MOBAs. However, the reaction to the announcement was somewhat muted, with confusion taking precedence over excitement.
Despite being an evolution of the original Smite, Titan Forge and Hi-Rez’s sequel is a welcome addition to the genre. With the use of Unreal Engine 5, it offers a graphical upgrade not found in Smite 1. Smite 2 is the genre’s best, and a fresh start might entice newcomers who previously avoided the original.
On the whole, Smite 2 doesn’t seem to be much different from its predecessor. Based on what’s currently known, the upgrade appears more like Counter-Strike 2 than a traditional sequel.
Smite 2 Alpha Test Trailer
While Hi-Rez says the first game will not be shut down at the same time as its successor’s release, this decision might discourage fans from switching products. At the same time, one must assume Smite is nearing the end. However, the game tracker website has teamed up with the developers to measure progress and help smooth the way.
According to Fortnite Tracker, the partnership will work together to pave the way for both players and developers.
Together with Hi-Rez Studios, Titan Forge Games, and RallyHere, we have been working in the past few months on a site and support for SMITE 2 in our mobile app.
We have a long and old history with the original SMITE, and we have been working on other Hi-Rez game trackers too. We are loving every minute of the Unreal Engine 5-powered sequel to the legendary third-person MOBA.
Seeing how the teams working on SMITE 2 treat the community, how much they love and care for the game, making enormous amount of updates and optimizations during the closed alpha period, makes us believe in a bright future for SMITE 2, one that we will support on our side as well.
