A Poster For Destiny's Next Expansion Suffers Leakage Incident
Destiny’s next expansion will be called “Rise of Iron.” We know this due to a leak that made its way to Reddit yesterday, which has been reportedly confirmed by staff at Bungie. The candidly snapped poster depicts what many are guessing is Lord Saladin from the Iron Banner event, brandishing a totally metal new weapon (flaming hammer, righteous, dude).
Rise of Iron is rumored to be larger than the two packs Destiny received in its first year. It will expectedly contain a new raid, which a Bungie insider describes as “Fallen with a twist.” Work began last summer, with an original goal of an April 2016 release, but those plans have obviously changed.
The main reason we’re getting Rise of Iron may be because Activision’s planned Destiny 2 has been moved from 2016 to 2017. Thus the original Destiny will live a bit longer, but what do they plan to prop it up with (besides a lot of iron)? You can be sure we’ll hear more at E3. See you in June, flaming hammerman.
