Squid – Netflix Rolls Out New Battle Royale Game – Trailer

A new game based on Netflix’s popular Squid Game drama series has been released for Android and iOS. Like any Netflix video game, Squid Game: Unleashed is free to Netflix subscribers.

As part of Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL), a trailer for a multiplayer battle royale game was shown. In the game, you play as a contestant who has to survive challenges inspired by the show, such as a buzzsaw-filled racetrack and molten lava.

“You win some, you die some. Use skill and quick reflexes to survive twisted competitions in this multiplayer action game inspired by the hit series,” writes Netflix in the game’s official description.

While it seems like a fun riff on party games like Mario Party and Fall Guys, it’s ironic that Netflix continues to milk Squid Game, of all things. But then again, this is Netflix’s biggest series ever.

The trailer ends with a vague “soon” release window, which could mean anything. However, Netflix might want to launch the game around the premiere of Squid Game Season 2 on December 26th
