Modbots Shift to Chromia Ahead of Season 4
There is a major development in the Mines of Dalarnia community, – the migration of Modbots to the Chromia blockchain. The move is part of a campaign to improve the overall gaming experience through Chromia’s user-friendly platform.
Notably, a modbot is a specialized robot that assists players in mining operations. It is a feature in Mines of Dalarnia where players control automated mining robots on the lunar surface for collecting Moon Chips, which are exchangeable for DAR tokens.
In addition, the game consists of three types of bots: Minerbots that gather resources, Defendbots that protect against lunar storms, and Repairbots that repair damage after storms. Each bot type has its own resource, and players must purchase and deploy these bots in order to collect the most Moon Chips.
Modbots Will Move to the Chromia Blockchain Soon
As the seasons change, storms affect players’ operations and make defense and repair crucial. Modbots reward players based on the total amount they have collected of Moon Chips. Rewards are distributed at the end of each season based on the total number of Moon Chips they have collected.
The decision to migrate Modbots to Chromia was driven by the desire to offer a smoother and more cost-effective gaming experience. Chromia offers several advantages over its predecessor, including eliminating gas fees. In moving to Chromia, players will no longer be required to pay transaction fees when deploying Modbots, removing financial barriers that may have hindered participation in the game.
Furthermore, players will see faster response times and a streamlined deployment process. Players will only have to click once to deploy a bot, and stats will automatically update after deployment, simplifying gameplay.
Chromia’s upcoming Season 4 will require players to transfer their Modbots resources from their current network to Chromia’s. This one-way bridge opened on August 29th, 2024, enabling players to move their resources in preparation for the new season.
